Broken Tooth – Step One

Additionally, a bag of ice or cold compress can decrease any swelling that may occur.

Making a same day appointment is the best thing you can do. In fact, in some cases getting to a dentist immediately can help to save a tooth. For instance, if a tooth has been completely removed it is possible for the tooth to be bonded to its original place. After you set you appointment, continue to care for your injury by changing out cloths if you are continuing to bleed. An aspirin, ibuprofen, or alternative painkiller should be taken to reduce any discomfort.
Remember to remain calm and to take good care of the injury. Once you arrive at the dentist you will receive the care you need to fix your tooth.
